The discussion presented in this small volume is based on the authors' experience in a special clinic for the treatment of obesity at the University Children's Clinic in Vienna. The different forms of obesity which occur in children are described, and treatment is discussed. The authors believe that overnutrition is the chief cause in the great majority of such cases, and their treatment is based on this theory.
