In the article by Dr. William C. Black, entitled "Acute Infectious Gingivostomatitis ('Vincent's Stomatitis')," in the July issue (AM. J. DIS. CHILD. 56:126, 1938), the last paragraph of the summary on page 158 was inadvertently omitted. This paragraph reads:
"There is no specific treatment. Parenterally administered sulfarsphenamine is ineffective and should not be employed. It is important to maintain an adequate fluid intake and to insist on rest in bed during the febrile period. The mouth should be kept as clean as possible. The diet should be soft and nonirritating. Caustic, tissue-destroying applications should not be used."
