This report deals with the occurrence of fatal hemorrhage in a Negro boy who died at the age of 7 days. The hemorrhagic diathesis which he showed could not be definitely identified, since it did not conform to the criteria which are generally required in order that a diagnosis of hemorrhagic disease of the newly born, hemophilia, syphilis or sepsis be made.

History.—V. B., a Negro boy born March 10, 1934, was admitted to the Babies Hospital on March 11 and died on March 17. The chief complaint on admission was vomiting of blood.
