This book, the tenth edition revised, appeared three years after the publication of the tenth edition. A few paragraphs have been rewritten and added, and an occasional statement has been altered or corrected. Each of the twenty sections contains new references. Many of the changes have been made in the sections on nutrition and deficiency diseases.
