Multiple idiopathic hemorrhagic sarcoma, an unusual disease among adults in America, is rare in children. Our case is particularly interesting because the condition was typical both clinically and pathologically.
REPORT OF A CASE
The patient was a 4 year old boy, American born of Italian parents. He was one of unidentical twins. The parents and ten siblings were living and well. The previous history was irrelevant.
One year prior to admission of the patient to the hospital two "blue spots," attributed by the family to trauma, were noted on the left leg. Two months before he entered the hospital firm, painless "lumps" were observed in both groins. Recently several new lesions were seen on the trunk, and blood specks were noted in the stool.
