This book has one hundred and eighty-four contributors. For one volume, it is very complete; it is well gotten up and well illustrated. It seems to the reviewer that such a book may be of great value in the library of any pediatrician, since it will give him information on surgical procedures for children which he might not be able to obtain except by searching through the literature.
The book is thoroughly up to date, and the contributors are among the best physicians in the American surgical field. Chapters such as those on congenital deformities and pyloric stenosis are of value to the pediatrician. The work is well written and well illustrated. A book of this kind should be of use to any practitioner of medicine, since it has to do not only with surgical treatment but also with diagnosis and pathology.
