This is the seventh edition of this book, which has been brought up to date. For those who are not familiar with the previous editions, it may be stated that Hutchinson does not stress pathology but devotes most of the discussions to symptoms and treatment. The arrangement of the material in the form of lectures makes the book rather hard reading, but one is amply repaid by the completeness of the descriptions. The plates are well chosen, and the printing is excellent. While some of the forms of treatment described may not be such as are used in this country, the author has a definite reason for including all of them.
