This is a book on pediatric treatment. The first division deals with general pediatric therapeutic procedures, such as nursing, local applications, inhalations, injections, emergencies and pharmaceutics. The second division takes up the nutritional requirements of the child, and the third concerns diseases of the new-born. The final division includes the treatment of diseases by systems. The methods used in these treatments are standard and complete. An unusually good feature is the giving of complete prescriptions of drugs needed for the different age periods, and additional prescriptions are added in an extra chapter. There is no doubt that the writing of prescriptions has become a lost art in the last few years.
