This small book on diseases of the skin was written by two English dermatologists as a handbook for practitioners and students. The original intention was to revise the well known textbook "Diseases of the Skin" by the late Sir Malcolm Morris. As the revision progressed it became evident that so much new material had to be introduced that the book had become virtually a new one.

Dore and Franklin have adhered to their purpose of making the book concise and yet sufficiently comprehensive to meet the needs of physicians other than specialists in the field of dermatology.

The first chapter deals with the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the skin. In the second chapter the principles of diagnosis are discussed. The remainder of the book is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, with strict avoidance of lengthy discussions and unnecessary words. The work is admirably . . .
