GENERAL

Child Health Recovery Conference.—On October 6 the Honorable Frances Perkins, Secretary of Labor, called a Child Health Recovery Conference in Washington, D. C. The Resolutions Committee brought out the following as the objectives of the meeting: "First, the location of undernourished children. Second, the initiation and development of plans to overcome as far as possible existing malnutrition and to prevent its further progress through dietary measures and in so far as necessary the institution of corrective medical procedures." The report was elaborated further as follows: "To promote such plans as may be decided upon as necessary to meet situations within different States and communities it became evident to the committee that it would be necessary to have the full and complete cooperation of the State and local departments of health, welfare and education, the National, State and local emergency relief administrations, the State and local medical and dental . . .
