Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tenn., announces the appointment of Dr. Samuel M. Bloomstein as associate professor of clinical pediatrics.

Dr. Rustin McIntosh of the Johns Hopkins Hospital has been appointed professor of diseases of children at Columbia University.

DEATHS

Dr. Juan Orrico, Director of the Pediatric Clinic at the University of Cordova, Argentine, died on May 29, at the age of 53.

GENERAL

Children's Memorial Hospital Willed $200,000.—By the will of Mr. Thomas D. Jones, the Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, has been left $200,000.
