This book, written in monographic form, is based on rather extensive experience mostly in the wards of Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. It is an excellent example of hospital cooperation between the departments of pediatrics and urology and shows what the fruits of this type of cooperation may be.
Each chapter is presented in the form of an essay, hence the sequence which is the method of the usual textbook is lacking.
General symptoms and the various methods of examination are briefly but clearly presented. The chapters on enuresis, infections of the urinary tract, abscess and carbuncle of the kidney, foreign bodies in the urinary tract, congenital anomalies of the upper urinary tract, urinary lithiasis, chronic renal tuberculosis, injuries and tumors leave nothing to be desired in the matter of thoroughness.
