This book has been prepared to meet the great need for a comprehensive volume dealing with all the diseases of childhood written from and for the nurses' standpoint and based on the nurses' branch of medicine. It has been made as complete as possible, embracing a work of reference with a standard textbook for nurses specializing in child nursing.

In order that the special divisions of children's diseases might have the very best scientific treatment, the work is divided among four specialists, each an acknowledged master of his subject who has treated his own specialty in a scholarly way.
