This is a well written and complete exposition of the present day status of the subject of infantile paralysis, especially from the standpoint of treatment. It is a modern, comprehensive account of the disease, one that presents practically all its phases, especially the principles of treatment.

It is the clearest and most concise exposition of this important subject that has been presented in one book. It exposes a wider knowledge of the clinical manifestations, a clearer understanding of the pathologic processes and more accurate information regarding the specific nature of the disease.

Great progress has been made in the methods of treatment and particularly in the orthopedic field. Deformity can now be prevented in nearly every instance. The return of function can be hastened by proper treatment of the involved area.
