This is really a revision and elaboration of a former book by Sachs on the same subject, the first chapters having to do with anatomy and embryology and methods of examination. This constitutes Part 1. Part 2 is composed of organic diseases of the nervous system. It begins with a short but useful chapter on diseases of the new-born. Part 3 has to do with functional and toxic disease; Part 4 with endocrine disorders, vasomotor and trophoneuroses, and Part 5 deals with mental conditions. This book is very definitely the author's, in that it stresses personal opinions strongly. It is rather lacking, if one wishes for an exhaustive discussion of any of these diseases. The first chapter of Part 5 is on the normal child, normal youth development and training. This is a most timely chapter and handled in a most satisfactory and practical manner.
