Malnutrition in Hospitalized Pediatric Patients

When I read the Editor's Note by Dr DeAngelis on the article titled "Malnutrition in Hospitalized Pediatric Patients" by Hendricks et al,1I was amazed that an intelligent, well-educated physician could make such an irresponsible and erroneous statement that the US Congress is considering to take away food from children. Perhaps the "Washington talk" can influence even eminent physicians and may eventually take away their ability to discern truth from lies as demonstrated by Dr DeAngelis.

I guess Dr Mathews and I do not read the same newspapers and Washington newsletters or listen to the same news broadcasts.
