The 27th National Immunization Conference of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be held June 14 through 18, 1993, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, DC. Topics include progress with the Infant Immunization Initiative, latest findings from research and demonstration projects, adult immunization issues, new vaccine development, update on polio eradication, immunization coverage assessment methods, international travelers' health, hepatitis prevention, immunization organizational partnerships, and vaccine safety issues. Attending will be health care professionals involved in immunization issues (including physicians, professional nurses, public health advisors, health educators, vaccine researchers, and allied health professionals). Continuing education units/continuing medical education credits have been applied for.
