Dan is a stalwart member of our Editorial Board. He was educated at Baylor University, Waco, Tex, completed his internship at Jersey City (NJ) Medical Center, his pediatric residency at Hermann Hospital, Houston, and St Louis Children's Hospital, and his fellowship in cardiology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. He joined the faculty at Baylor in 1954 and rose to the rank of professor in 1969. His list of local, regional, and national committees, officerships, and other credits would occupy this entire page, and then some. Highlights include chairmanships of the Bequests and Endowments Committee, the Ethics Committee, the Ad Hoc Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, all of the American College of Cardiology, and presidency of that organization in 1981-1982.
