isosexual Precocious Puberty

Sir.—To my knowledge, there is only one report of sexual precocity affecting sisters.1 Siblings of mixed sexes have been reported.2-4 This report is of a father and two daughters with isosexual precocious puberty.

Patients and Methods.—The first patient was seen at the age of 7.5 years, with rapid growth first noted at age 5.5 years associated with breast buds. At age 6 years, pubic hair developed and she used deodorants at age 6.5 years. Axillary hair and menses had not been noted at 7.5 years. No neurologic disorder was present.

Her height was 143 cm (height age, 11 years) and she weighed 41 kg. Breasts were at Tanner stage III-IV, the axillae were moist without hair, and pubic hair was Tanner stage III.
