Mental Retardation Symposium.—The Institute for Developmental Research, Department of Pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, will present the 36th Benjamin Knox Rachford Symposium on June 13,1975, in the Research Auditorium of the Children's Hospital Research Foundation. The symposium will be on mental retardation (epidemiologic, metabolic, and viral factors). The participants are Drs. Albert Dorfman, Carleton Gajdusek, Robert Miller, and John Sever.

No tuition fee will be charged. Inquiries may be directed to Dr. Joseph Warkany, Institute for Developmental Research, Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH 45229; telephone (513) 559-4471.

Pediatric Gastroenterology Course in Wales.—A postgraduate course in pediatric gastroenterology will be held July 7 through 9, 1975, at the University of Wales, Cardiff. This course is primarily designed for pediatricians, but will also be of interest to gastroenterologists, surgeons, and general practitioners.
