I am reminded of Alumni day That early morning in the fall of 99 When prominent alumni returned to play At the great College of Albert Einstein In this annual drama of a pilgrimage they make To meet old friends and reacquaint While exchanging bear hugs and kisses Both genuine and fake. Later in the day lunch is served With two choices of entrée, There is a decision to make While many opt for chicken, Others prefer tuna steak Perhaps a mistake?
Suddenly! Half of the room has lipstick-red faces At the great College of Einstein of all places Some blame it all on the coffee they'd drank But walking around and looking at faces An infectious disease maven notices a clue Apparently histidine sticks to fish like glue And bacterial action releases histamine Hence lots of peripheral vasodilatation And not to mention, gastrointestinal locomotion.
