This color atlas presents an array of infectious diseases in children. It contains 16 chapters written by 26 contributors: "Measles, Mumps, and Rubella"; "Human Herpesvirus 6 and 7"; "Parvovirus Infections"; "Herpes Simplex Virus Infections"; "Varicella and Herpes Zoster"; "Enteroviruses"; "Streptococcal Infections"; "Staphylococcal Infections"; "HIV and AIDS"; "Kawaski Disease"; "Central Nervous System Infections"; "Congenital and Perinatal Infections"; "Tuberculosis"; "Ehrlichiosis, Babesiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Lyme Disease"; "Infections in Immunocompromised Hosts"; and "Infections in Naturally Immunodeficient Hosts."

The atlas is printed on high-quality paper. The illustrations are for the most part of excellent quality, although a few are either too dark or too light. Computed tomographic scans, magnetic resonance imaging scans, and x-rays films are also included, which enhances the diagnostic considerations.
