Adieu, but Not Good-bye

I SIT HERE in my living room on a rainy October Sunday filled with the worst ambivalence I've ever felt. I am very sad that this is my last editorial for Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. On the other hand, I am so very excited to be the next editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and editor-in-chief of scientific publications, information, and multimedia. The latter position involves all 10 ARCHIVES journals, including Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. Therefore, I'm not really leaving; I'll just watch and cheer from a different position.

While I put together a search committee for the new editor of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, Alain Joffe, MD, will take the helm.
