We are interested in your article regarding a case of chromosome 10 qter deletion.1 We are following up on one patient,2 who is 17 years old, severely affected in her growth (15 cm below the third percentile for height for age), and mentally retarded, with evidence of puberal development.
In addition to the phenotypic characteristics mentioned above, our patient has a convulsive disorder diagnosed as myoclonic seizures and atypical absences, with an electroencephalogram pattern generalized spire wave of 2 Hz. A magnetic resonance imaging study of the brain, without contrast, shows changes that we interpret as cortical dysplasia apart from an unilateral ventricular dilatation.
We wonder whether your cases or any cases you know of have shown similar neurological findings. Any further information or advice you could give us on our patient would be greatly appreciated.
