Prune Belly Syndrome in Two Siblings and a First Cousin

Possible Genetic Implications

Abstract

• Three cases of prune belly syndrome occurred in two siblings and their first cousin. Extensive studies of families and close relations of patients in index cases will help to reconcile the various etiologic hypotheses that incriminate primary mesodermal defect, urethral obstruction, and genetic factors.
