Bilateral Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in an Adolescent

Abstract

• A 13-year-old boy with nocturnal paresthesias of thehands was shown to have bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome byelectrodiagnosis. Surgical findings included thickening of thetransverse carpal ligament and local anomalies of tendon andmuscle. Surgical correction produced prompt relief.
