Neonatal Withdrawal Syndrome Associated With Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride
Bruce M. Prenner, MD
Am J Dis Child. 1977;131(5):529-530.
Abstract
To our knowledge, this is the first report of a neonatal withdrawal syndrome associated with maternal usage of 600 mg daily of hydroxyzine hydrochloride throughout pregnancy. This observation suggests that the use of high doses of this agent in pregnancy should be avoided.
