Pneumoperitoneum in the extremely low-birth-weight infant: successful nonoperative treatment

Pneumoperitoneum without associated pulmonary air leak occurred in two
extremely preterm, low-birth-weight infants. These infants were considered
too critically ill to tolerate surgical exploration. Accordingly, they were
treated medically and supportively, with excellent results.
