Blood Glucose Determination in Infants and Children

The Reflectance Meter/Enzyme Test Strip System

Abstract

The reflectance meter/enzyme test strip (Dextrostix) system for blood glucose determination was compared with the glucose oxidase and the ferricyanide methods. The system is a rapid and reliable screening test in infants and children when used by experienced personnel.
